Probably the best "authentic" Mexican food we've found so far. Ok, they claim to be Arizona-style/TexMex fare. But take it from us: it really is authentic.
We both have been there about 10 times in the last 6 months and taken several friends there. Everyone has loved it. Whether or not you frequent the Chesterfield area, Salinas is worth the trip.
Not only is it really authentic, they even serve YELLOW corn tortillas...which you may know is rare in St Louis' Mexican restaurants.
Prices are a little more than what you may expect for simple Mexican fare, but this Texan gal is willing to pay a few dollars more para comida buena!

Cheese enchilada (cheddar &/or MoJack cheese + yellow corn tortilla + red enchilada sauce = perfection)

Salsa (a little heavy on garlic, but homemade & chunky)
