Show Me Grub: East Coast Pizza

FINALLY...decent pizza! This crackers and provel cheese type pizza here is St. Louis must go! We won't mention the one establishment most famous for St. Louis style pizza, but as natives of other states, we can honestly say we haven't had pizza quite like St. Louis style anywhere else. Either you like it or you don't, and we definitely lean towards the latter. In our opinion, and from experience, pizza should have mozzarella cheese.

East Coast Pizza in Chesterfield was referred to us by a co-worker who said that her New Jersey friend said the pizza was the real deal. So we gave it a shot, and took along a Bostonian, Missourian, and a Wisconsin as well. All gave it the thumbs up, especially the Bostonian.

East Coast Pizza serves New York style and Chicago style pizza plus other dishes including hot subs. We had the New York Style on our first visit, then the next week we went back with some St. Louisianan, one stating it was her new favorite pizza place. On the second visit we tried the Chicago style and it was great as well.

So if you are looking for GOOD pizza, with mozzarella cheese, and a tasty crust, then East Coast Pizza is a must try. The Philly Steak sandwich looks appetizing too.
