Lily's Mexican Restaurant

Ahhhhh, finally! Authentic Mexican food in St. Louis. We were referred to this restaurant by a native Texan, so we figured it was worth the try, but still a little hesitant.

Lily's is a small restaurant family owned and operated. It reminds you of the Taquerias of California. Tacos are very simple: meat, cilantro, and white onion on a soft corn tortilla. That's the way they do it in California.

Owners are from Mexico and lived in San Diego, CA which says it all. The true sign of a Mexican Restaurant is that they don't serve ground beef, which Lily's owner vows to not serve.

Salsa bar is filled with at least 6 different types of fresh homemade salsa and very hard to stay away from.

For those who want to KNOW what true Authentic Mexican food is like, Lily's is a must try.
