So look no further for great shrimp & sausage gumbo, crab cakes, jambalaya (pork, sausage & rice), shrimp, po-boys, crawfish and more.
But plan on stopping in on Saturday or for lunch during the week. They're closed weekday evenings and Sundays. And if you have to wait for one of the 8-10 tables in this cozy little hole-in-the-wall, it will be worth it. Trust us!

My mother is from a little town in middle Louisiana and I have grown up with creole and cajun cuisine. I would give the gumbo shop a passing grade but I was a little disappointed. The gumbo tasted authentic and that is hard to do using local sausage. The jambalaya was sold out - very promising! But the crawfish etouffe was heavy on black pepper and a little thick. I would order the gumbo again and I would go to try the jambalaya. 2.5 of 5 stars.
